Frequently Asked Questions
The frequency of massages is influenced by several factors, such as lifestyle, stress levels, and any potential health issues. Generally speaking, regular sessions once or twice a month are ideal for most people. In the case of intensive physical work or sports, even once a week may be recommended. In cases of acute problems, treatments can be performed more frequently, even 2-3 times a week, and then gradually reduced as the condition improves.
Before a massage, it is advisable to have a light meal; do not eat heavy foods 1-2 hours before the treatment. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids before and after the treatment. After the massage, rest for 15-20 minutes and drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins. On the day of the massage, avoid intense physical exercise and the sauna. It is recommended to choose a lukewarm shower instead of a warm bath after the treatment.
It’s advisable to arrive in comfortable, loose clothing. For the massage, it is generally possible to wear underwear or a one-piece swimsuit, but this is always determined by the guest’s comfort level. The masseur professionally covers the untreated areas, ensuring the guest’s privacy. For the facial area, we use professional draping to ensure the guest can breathe comfortably.
Yes, there are so-called contraindications when massage is not recommended. Such conditions include: fever, acute inflammations, infectious diseases, phlebitis, thrombosis, severe heart disease, open wounds, or injuries in the area to be treated. It is also not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy. In certain diseases, the treatment can only be performed with medical approval. Therefore, it is important to fill out the health questionnaire before the first session.
Regular massage has numerous positive effects: it improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow, reduces tension and alleviates muscle cramps, enhances sleep quality, and lowers stress levels and anxiety. Additionally, it strengthens the immune system, aids in the elimination of toxins, and improves the range of motion and posture. Regular massage can prevent certain musculoskeletal problems and reduce the frequency of headaches.
Massage types use different techniques and intensities for various purposes. Swedish massage, for example, is a classic, relaxing massage that focuses on muscle relaxation and improving circulation. Sports massage uses more vigorous techniques, aiming to enhance performance and promote recovery. The invigorating massage has a stimulating effect, while the relaxing massage promotes complete relaxation. The deep tissue massage targets the deeper muscle layers and is suitable for relieving chronic tensions.
Massage treatments can generally be either 60 or 90 minutes long. The 60-minute treatment is the most common, during which the entire body can be massaged. The 90-minute treatment allows for more thorough, detailed work and complete relaxation. The first session is usually longer because we also conduct a detailed assessment at that time.
During the consultation, we assess the guest’s health condition, any complaints, previous injuries, and expectations regarding the treatment. This helps in choosing the appropriate type and intensity of the massage. We receive important information about lifestyle, job role, and exercise habits, all of which influence the course of the treatment. During the consultation, the guest can also ask questions, and we will discuss the expected results and the recommended frequency of treatments.
